Overview
Plan G covers the Part A deductible, Part A hospital coinsurance and an additional 365 lifetime days, skilled nursing coinsurance, Part B coinsurance, Part B excess charges, hospice coinsurance, blood, and foreign travel emergency care up to plan limits.
How it works
The one thing Plan G does not cover is the annual Part B deductible. You pay that once per year, and after it is met your covered Part B services are generally paid in full.
What to watch for
For people who see specialists regularly or want a predictable annual number, Plan G is often the simplest structure to budget around.
What to do next
Eligibility, premium, and underwriting still vary by state and carrier, and applying inside a guaranteed issue window changes the health-question picture entirely.
